We had a client who had multiple users that could not print to a Kyocera Taskalfa 3050ci. The problem that was occurring was that the printer could not be found by the users’ computers or was showing as Offline. After researching the problem, we found the solution in the printer driver settings.
The printer driver settings were using SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) to communicate with the printer by default. Once we disabled this setting, the printer appeared Online and users could print successfully.
See below steps to disable this and get your Kyocera Taskalfa 3050CI Multi Function Printer to work!
Step 1 – Go to the Kyocera Taskalfa 3050ci printer properties
Step 2: Configure the port of the Kyocera Taskalfa 3050ci
Step 3: Uncheck the box next to “SNMP Status Enabled”
